Cedar Creek Lake is the 5th Largest Lake in Texas and is known for excellent fishing and abundant activities such as water skiing, jet skiing, golf, sailing & biking.

It is among the most popular areas in Northeast Texas for those seeking lake activities or lake living, and has been recognized as one the the best places in Texas to live for retirement.

The shoreline of Cedar Creek Lake is also a popular spot for “weekenders” who have purchased vacation / weekend homes that they can enjoy year round.┬áIt is one of the few lakes in northeast Texas that allows lakefront property ownership.

Beautiful Cedar Creek Lake was established in 1964 as a water reservoir for Tarrant County. Cedar Creek Lake is 32,623 acres, 18 miles long and offers 320 miles of shoreline. The lake is conveniently located under 40 miles southeast of Dallas.

Many of Cedar Creek Lake’s residents are commuters, traveling to the Dallas area to work. They proclaim the round trip well worth the serenity they experience upon returning home to the lake at the end of the work day. The short commute to Dallas/Ft.Worth area is a big benefit to both “weekenders” and recreational second home owners that permanently live in DFW. Cedar Creek Lake is perfect for a relaxing getaway where the people are friendly and there are various activities for everyone!

Cedar Creek Lake offers diverse lodging, dining, retail, RV sites and water sports, all located on or near the shoreline of beautiful Cedar Creek Lake. The towns of Gun Barrel City, Kemp, Seven Points, Tool, Trinidad, Malakoff, Star Harbor, Caney City, Log Cabin, Payne Springs, Enchanted Oaks, Mabank and Eustace all surround the lake. The various towns are able to maintain their own identities and local governments, while having the distinction of being part of the Cedar Creek Lake community. Great festivals, local celebrations with a friendly hometown atmosphere, fishing, boating and golf are ongoing throughout the year.


Harbor Light Villas is also just a short 15 minutes away from the Cedar Creek Country Club, The Hidden Gem of East Texas.
